ATHENS — Quarterback Boo Jackson ran for two touchdowns and threw for another score to lead Ohio past Akron 38-10 on Saturday.

Jackson scored on a 1-yard run and wideout Terrence McCrae hauled in a 35-yard touchdown from Riley Dunlop to put the Bobcats (4-3, 3-1 Mid-American Conference) up 14-0 in the first quarter.

Matt Weller added a 42-yard field goal and McCrae caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Jackson before the end of the second quarter to give Ohio a 24-3 halftime lead.

Jackson scored his second 1-yard touchdown run of the game and Phil Bates added a 33-yard touchdown run in the second half to increase the Bobcats’ lead to 38-3 with 12:52 left in the game.

The Zips (0-7, 0-3) got on the board with 5:59 remaining in the fourth quarter after a 3-yard touchdown pass from Matt Rodgers to Austin Bailey.
