Ironton Police

Trouble – 800 block of N. Fourth St., 12:34 a.m. Monday – boys showed up to fight caller’s son. Sent on their way.

Trouble — Vernon Street, Close to Home, 6:09 a.m. Monday, trouble with one of the guys there. Subjects advised.

Theft – 1400 block of S. Ninth Street, 9:22 a.m. Monday, medication stolen. Negative report and subject transported.

Prowler — 2100 block of N. Second Street 9:36 a.m. Monday, request extra patrols. Attention evening and midnight shift.

Suspicious person – Sixth and Etna Street 10:52 a.m. Monday, man sitting in car acting strange. Caller said subject left.

Noise — 2400 block of S. Sixth Street 1:11 a.m. Tuesday, loud music. Turned it down.

Trouble – 1500 block of S. Fourth Street 11:27 a.m. Tuesday – caller wants a girl arrested. Female made statement.

Trouble — 700 Lawrence Street, 12:39 p.m. Tuesday, boyfriend won’t give back door key, lives at the house too. Advised police can’t make him give them back.

Trouble – 700 Block of Lawrence Street, 12:46 p.m. Tuesday, man from above call is back, caller wants police. Subjects worked it out themselves.

Sheriff’s reports

Burglary – 1100 block of County Road 35, Chesapeake Sunday – house burglarized, $50 in change stolen.

Breaking and entering – 100 block of County Road 181, Ironton, Oct. 15, pad lock cut off building, batteries taken from vehicles.

Theft – Township Rd. 1278 Proctorville, woman met man on Christian Mingle website. Man told her he was in Ghana, Africa and was coming to see her when he paid off immigration. He made a $12,000 and $13,000 deposit, which both bounced. Asked her to send him $11,500, which she did. Suspect named.

Petty theft — 200 block of County Rd. 410, South Point, Monday, woman allegedly put several items in her purse at Wal-mart, did not pay for them. Crystal G. Walters, 23, of 4395 Bowman Hill Rd., Huntington, W.Va., arrested.

Assault – 7800 block of County Road 107, Proctorville Monday, student at Fairland Middle School allegedly punched another student in the head. Student transported to group home.

Domestic violence – Country Hearth Motel, South Point, Monday, man allegedly punched woman in the face, Kasey T. Ward, 25, of Country Hearth Motel, 70 Private Drive 302 Room 218, South Point, arrested.

Domestic violence – Township Rd. 1039, Chesapeake, Tuesday, man allegedly came to ex-girlfriend’s house, threatened her, broke a window with a brick. Suspect named.

Domestic violence – 200 block of Township Rd. 1186, South Point, Tuesday, man allegedly threw items at women when she wouldn’t get him cigarettes, fled the scene before officers arrived. Suspect named.

Disorderly conduct —Symmes Valley High School, Monday, student kicked off bus for trying to start a fight. Cursed and knocked off phone in administrator’s office.

Domestic violence – Township Road 1123 Proctorville, woman asked daughter to get off the phone with boyfriend, daughter threatened her with a machete, called her names. Juvenile suspect arrested.

County Jail

Samantha J. Shadd, 22, of 1532 County Road 118, Chesapeake, warrants for arrest Tuesday by the Lawrence County Municipal Court.
