Clyde Baldwin Summers

Clyde Baldwin Summers, 53, of Ironton, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born July 30, 1957, the son of the late Lawrence Eugene Sr. and Garnet Owen Summers.

Mr. Summers attended Rock Hill High School and was owner/operator of his own Lawn Care business. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Summers

He is survived by two sons: Clyde Baldwin Summers Jr. of Columbus, and Michael Summers of Pedro; a daughter: Dusty Summers of Ironton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Garnet and Bill Ross of Kitts Hill, Brenda Shope of Pedro, and Dovie and John Toney of Bellville, W.Va.; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Lawrence and Helen Summers , Chuck and Cindy Summers all of South Point, and Carlton and Ruth Jenkins of Richwood; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Rev. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery.
