Animal cruelty – Private drive 99, Chesapeake, Oct. 20, neighbor allegedly shot dog in the neck. Neighbor denies it, said he was at work at the time. Suspect named.

Assault, robbery –Lawrence Village Apt, South Point, Oct. 21, man allegedly shoved woman, took her purse after she gave him a ride.

Petty theft – 25100 block of State Route 93, Oak Hill Oct. 22, hunting bow stolen from residence.

Juvenile offenses, assault – 4600 block of State Route 93, Ironton, juvenile allegedly assaulted another juvenile at the Lawrence County Juvenile Center. Suspect named.

Criminal trespass, assault – 2800 block of County Road 21, Ironton, Oct. 23, two men allegedly came to residence without permission, kicked door open and fought with 17-year-old male there. Eric McKnight, 34, of 107 Township Rd. 612, Ironton, arrested and taken to jail. Another suspect named.

Domestic violence – 400 block of Township Road 336, Ironton, Oct. 23, man allegedly held woman two days against her will, beat her. Suspect named.

Domestic violence – 2100 block of State Route 93, Pedro, Oct. 23, woman’s ex-boyfriend allegedly twisted her wrist. Suspect named.

Domestic violence — 9800 block of County Road 1, South Point, Oct. 23, man allegedly threatened his father with a knife, Suspect named.

Burglary — 2900 block of County Road 115, Chesapeake Oct. 23, hand gun stolen from residence.

Corey H. Smoot, 23, of 8029 County Road 107, Lot 15f, warrants for arrest Thursday by the Lawrence County Municipal Court.

Jacob E. Jenkins, 20, of 610 Washington St., Coal Grove, probation violation, escape, drug paraphernalia, by the Ironton Municipal Court.

Justin L Adams, 26, of 1178 County Road 60, South Point, domestic violence Thursday by the South Point Police Department.

Ronald Crabtree, 20, of 191 County Road 29, Pedro, commitment Thursday by the Ironton Municipal Court.

Panhandler – 200 block of Washington St., 5:03 p.m. Wednesday, man on bike bothering customers. Subject advised.

Trouble — 2700 block of South Fifth Street, 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, caller’s mother allegedly took daughter because he was fighting with wife. Declined police involvement.

Attempted breaking and entering — 600 block of North Fifth Street, 7:39 p.m. Wednesday, request an officer. Taken to sheriff’s office.

Shoplifter – Dollar General 7:57 p.m. Monday – woman allegedly ran out of store with two bags of items. Information filed for report.

Trouble – Speedway at Park Avenue 11:07 p.m. Wednesday, men allegedly won’t let another man leave. Subjects advised and separated.

Trouble — Sixth and Oak streets, 11:38 p.m. Wednesday, man and woman allegedly fighting. It was a grandmother and granddaughter arguing over who is going to drive.

Suspicious persons — Woodland Cemetery, 12:19 a.m. Thursday, two people going into cemetery through gates. Subjects advised they aren’t allowed in after hours.

Trouble – 800 block of Walnut Street 12:53 a.m. Thursday, man and woman fighting. Male party left prior to arrival.

Noises – 800 block of Washington Street, 1:31 a.m., dog barking, someone possibly outside. Nothing showing around here.

Suspicious person – 1300 block of South Tenth Street, 2:23 a.m., man walking up and down the alley. Negative contact.

Suspicious person – Speedway on Park Avenue, 4:46 a.m. Thursday – man keeps aggravating female workers.

Breaking and entering — 2400 block of South Fifth Street 11:09 a.m. Thursday, house broken into. Partial information filed for report.

Threats — 11:17 a.m. Thursday, woman receiving threats on cell phone. Report taken.

Threats — 2:11 p.m. Thursday, someone using caller’s phone to make threats. Negative report.

Stolen identity — 1600 block of Charlotte 5:08 p.m. Thursday, someone stole caller’s identity. Information filed for report.

Trouble – 5:10 p.m. Thursday, 400 block of North Sixth Street, boyfriend allegedly yelling at woman, throwing things. Negative report, both parties advised.

Accident — 2400 block of South Fifth Street 5:45 p.m. Thursday, child hit by car. Taken to area hospital.

Assault — Ninth and Kemp streets, 6:44 p.m. Thursday, man and woman allegedly punched caller in the face. Information filed for report.

Vandalism – Orchard and North Second Street 8:35 p.m. children throwing pumpkins. Negative contact.
