As a resident of Lawrence County and a member of the National Rifle Association, I would like to comment on the article, “Strickland makes stop in South Point” that appeared in the Tribune on Oct. 24.

In this article, it was stated that John Kasich, the opponent of Ted Strickland, has earned an “F” rating from the NRA.

This is not true!

John Kasich has received a “B” rating from the NRA. John Kasich’s running mate, Mary Taylor, has received an “A” rating while Strickland’s running mate has received an “F” rating.

I would only ask that in order to be fair to those reading the newspaper, please verify and report only facts before printing them.
