Gerald Lee (Jack) Rowe, 54, of Ironton, Ohio left this world Monday morning Nov. 16, 2010, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Ky., to enter into his brand new home in heaven surrounded by his loving family.

Born Sept. 26, 1956, he was the son of John and Lillian Robinson and the late Gerald E. Rowe. Jack graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1974, served with the U.S. Navy and the United States Peace Corps and also attended Ohio University.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Gerald, maternal grandparents, Robert and Faye Joseph, paternal grandparents Erie and Ada Rowe, twin nieces Lecia and Necia Maddy and great nephew William Rowe. Jack is survived by his father and mother, sister and brother-in-law Tim and Beverly Maddy, four brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Donna Rowe, Jerry and Patty Rowe, Steven Rowe, Rick and Robin Robinson, special aunts Linda Hall and Kathy Bentley and many loving and caring nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Slab Fork Cemetery with full military honors. Rev. Tim Maddy will be officiating.
