COLUMBUS — Ohio State defensive back Tyler Moeller is coming back for a sixth year.
The NCAA notified Jim Tressel and the Ohio State coach passed along the word to Moeller in the team huddle after practice Wednesday.
Moeller missed all of last year with a head injury after being sucker-punched in a bar incident in Florida. After he had returned and regained his starting position, he tore a chest muscle that sidelined him for the remainder of this season.
Tressel told Moeller and the entire team at the same time, touching off a round of cheers for the fifth-year senior from Cincinnati.
Moeller said his mother found out at noon but everyone waited until he could be told while he was with his teammates.
