Sheriff’s report

Petty theft – 17100 block of State Route 141, Willow Wood, Nov. 24, woman alleges she left her three rings at a man’s house and he would not give them back. Man allegedly admitted taking them to a pawn shop and eventually returned two of them. Woman also said he keeps harassing her on the phone. Suspect named.

Receiving stolen property – Township Road 1038, Chesapeake, Dec. 1, two men allegedly taking scrap metal from abandoned houses. Jonathan M. Young, 32, of 71 Wren Lane Road, Lousia, Ky., and Mark K. Sawyer, 44, of 60 Township Road 1118, Chesapeake, arrested.

Breaking and entering – 1500 block of County Road 1, South Point, Dec. 1, man alleges that items were taken from his garage.

Petty theft – 300 block of Private Drive 288, South Point, Dec. 1, woman allegedly concealed infant clothing items in her purse and coat, didn’t attempt to pay for them. Randi N. Bogard, 30, of 110 E. Fourth St., Ceredo, W.Va., arrested.

Receiving stolen property, assault- 200 block of Township Road 303, Proctorville, Dec. 2, sheriff’s deputy responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in a man’s driveway. Upon arriving, the deputy allegedly found a man asleep in the driver’s seat. When he attempted to wake and get him out of the car, the man allegedly punched the deputy in the face. The car was allegedly stolen. Bruce J. Marsh, 19, of 94 Township Road 303, Proctorville, arrested and taken to jail.

Theft- 2200 block of South Seventh Street, 7:07 p.m. Saturday, woman says a small Christmas tree was taken from her yard.

Theft- 1200 block of South Fifth Street, 7:48 p.m. Saturday, woman reports a man took her things from her outbuilding.

Trouble- 600 block of Hecla Street, 9:49 p.m. Saturday woman reports her daughter is destroying things and punching holes in wall. Juvenile advised, negative charges.

Accident- 2400 block of South Third Street, 11:10 p.m. Saturday, man reports a vehicle struck his house. Vehicle struck fence, suspect fled scene. Sheriff’s Office and Russell Police Department notified.

Domestic violence- 800 block of Walnut Street, 12:14 a.m. Saturday, man reports his daughter and her boyfriend are fighting, refusing to leave. Subjects left prior to arrival.

Theft of drugs – 1200 block of South Seventh Street, 12:26 a.m. Saturday, woman reports she came home to find she’d been robbed and medication was missing. Contacted children’s service, citation issued for disorderly conduct.

Report- 1:22 a.m. Saturday, caller wants someone to call ex-girlfriend and tell her to stop hitting car. Unavailable.

Trouble- Fuzzy Duck, 1:40 a.m. Saturday, woman reports someone is causing trouble. Subject sent on his way, no further problems.

Domestic- 2100 block of North Second Street 1:45 a.m. Saturday, woman reports her boyfriend is knocking her down and hitting her. Neither party wants to file charges. Female left with her mother.

Trouble- Boomers, 2:28 a.m. Saturday, caller reports a woman allegedly hit her boyfriend twice. Female taken to sheriff’s office.

Trouble- 600 block of South Tenth Street, 9:34 a.m. Saturday, woman reports a child is outside her house by herself carrying a man’s jacket and not wearing shoes. Child picked up, later released to parent.

Traffic accident- Ninth Street 1:23 a.m., Sunday, woman said her car slid into a parked car. Citation issued.

Theft- 600 block of Cliff Street, 10:10 a.m., Sunday, woman alleges her neighbor stole her medication and money.

Runaway juvenile- 3:09 p.m., Sunday, woman said her daughter went to Kentucky with a man and is living with him. Subject advised to come to station if she wants to file.

Theft- 2500 block of South Fifth Street, 5:04 p.m., Sunday, man reports someone is underneath a car trying to steal converter. Female owner said he had permission to work on it.

Trespassing- 900 block of North Second Street, 5:29 p.m. Sunday, caller said several juveniles keep going through her yard. Log only.

Vandalism- 6:38 p.m. Sunday caller says someone threw something at her vehicle as it crossed the Ironton-Russell Bridge. Log only.
