Junior Female Flyers

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The St. Joseph Junior High Female Flyers used a strong second half to beat the Huntington St. Joseph Lady Fighting Irish 37-21 Wednesday.

Hannah Miller scored 17 points and Sidney Payne 14 to pace the Female Flyers.

The Flyers play at New Boston Saturday as part of a triple header that includes the Junior Flyers’ boys team and the girls’ varsity.

Junior Panthers sweep

CHESAPEAKE — The Chesapeake Junior Panthers 7th grade got past the Gallipolis Blue Devils 45-43 last Thursday while the 8th rolled to a 49-31 win.

In the 7th grade game, Gage Rhodes scored 18 points to lead the Junior Panthers.

The Panthers 8th grade won easily as Aaron Thompson scored 16, Jacob Wireman 11 and Jacob Henson 10.
