Sheriff’s reports

Theft- Private Drive 288, South Point, Dec. 15, man allegedly took items to the lawn and garden section of Walmart, took them out of packages, and left the store with out paying for them. Man allegedly later confessed and returned the items. Charles R. Betts, 22, of 4217 Magazine Ave., Huntington, W.Va., arrested.

Possession of drugs- Third Avenue, Chesapeake, Dec. 16, during a OVI stop, deputies allegedly see a bag containing Diazepam fall out of suspect’s pocket. Bambi S Dameron, 30, of 276 County Road 180, Ironton, arrested and taken to jail.

Having weapons while disabled, using weapons while intoxicated, carrying concealed weapons, improper discharge- County Road 1, at McGinnis Barge, South Point, Dec. 17, man allegedly fired a shotgun while intoxicated, then concealed it. Donny R. Cremeans, 32, of 1101 Township Road 199, Pedro, arrested and taken to jail.

Assault- 100 block of Township Road 1027, South Point, Dec. 17, woman alleges that her ex-boyfriend came to her house, threw her down and punched her in the back of the head. Suspect named.

Burglary- 25100 block of State Route 93, Oak Hill, woman reports her house was burglarized and a flat screen television, and two gaming system consoles were taken.

Theft- 1500 block of County Road 1, South Point, Dec. 17, woman reports that her boyfriend took a handgun from her residence. Suspect named.

Obstructing justice, possession of drugs- Dec. 17, man allegedly gave officers his brother’s name and date of birth during a traffic stop to avoid being arrested on a warrant. Mathew S. Fortner, 22, of 34 Township Road 616, South Point, arrested.

Ironton Police

Theft- 1400 block of South Third Street, 12:07 p.m. Dec. 15, woman alleges pipes were taken from her house. Information for report.

Drunk driver- City mission, 5:54 p.m. Dec. 15, woman reports a man weaving his vehicle while driving. Vehicle parked and unoccupied.

Trouble- 300 block of North Second Street, 7:10 p.m. Dec. 15, caller reports two people too intoxicated to drive attempting to leave and drive. Subjects advised.

Threats- 9:50 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 15, man wants to file charges on another man who allegedly threatened him. Party advised.

Counterfeit bills- 700 block of Park Avenue 10:46 p.m. Dec. 15, store employee reports a counterfeit bill passed. Information for report, confiscated bills.

Complaint- 1900 block of South Fourth Street 10:55 p.m. Dec. 15, man reports another man is at his house causing trouble. Negative contact. Searching the area.

Theft- South Ninth Street, 10:42 a.m. Dec. 16, caller reports someone broke windows and stole items from his truck. Information for report.

Man with gun- 600 block of South Ninth Street, adult probation reports a woman said her grandson is off his medication and has a gun. Female left with son. Negative charges.

Hit and run- Sixth and Lawrence streets, 3:02 p.m. Thursday Dec. 16, woman reports seeing a hit and run. Suspect vehicle located. Information for report.

Trouble- 3:02 p.m. Dec. 16, Murphy’s Bar, caller wants a person removed from bar, suspect left prior to arrival.
