Get Caribbean flair here in the States

If you are like me, when “all inclusive resorts” are mentioned, destinations like Mexico and/or the Caribbean fill your minds. Brand names like Sandals, Super Clubs, Breezes, Beaches, RIU, Barcelo or Palace resorts flood our thoughts. We never give any consideration to the U.S. of A. But now there is a Caribbean style all-inclusive family oriented resort located in sunny Southeast Florida.

It is the newly renovated and reopened Club Med Sandpiper Bay. This Club Med all-inclusive resort is located on the east coast of Florida amid the lush vegetation of the Saint Lucie River. Centrally located between Miami and Orlando the resort is only a 30-minute drive from West Palm Beach.

Just about everybody loves vacations. You get to enjoy all those vacation things like relaxing, playing and lounging in the sun.

But after a while they all start to feel the same so you start looking for something else to do. Whether you’re an athlete, a couple or within a group, deep down you want more excitement, more energy and more romance.

You want a place that creates a more enriching experience and allows you to focus on your well-being.

That’s the beauty of an all-inclusive resort vacation. You can do nothing at all! Or you can do it all!

You can discover the Floridian charm at Sandpiper Resort, which provides fun and excitement on land or water. Here your family can enjoy a carefree all-inclusive vacation amidst a full-amenity resort where families can discover incomparable sports and children’s programs.

Your children will have the time of their life at Club Med’s world-famous children’s clubs with dedicated activities and sports for babies, children and teenagers from morning to evening, and all coordinated by qualified and enthusiastic professionals. Come and share perfect family vacations under the warm Floridian sunshine.

This resort has a variety of sports, programs and activities to keep you alive and occupied throughout the day: three swimming pools, two restaurants to choose from, family accommodations with the entire standard American comfort, tennis academy and golf academy with 18-hole and 9-hole courses.

Here is a resort that welcomes children and teenagers with activities for each age group and all coordinated by professionals. You will discover facilities and customized programs for the care of children from 4 months to 17 years old.

The equipment is designed to ensure children’s comfort and safety. The operating times allow parents to enjoy their day and evening, or set off on an excursion without any worries. A wide range of activities, stimulating games, creative workshops, a multitude of sports and well-needed quiet breaks keep your children engaged. The resort has well-qualified, enthusiastic staff who accompanies and guide children and teenagers in every activity.

Dining is another treat at Sandpiper as they apply a creative “art of the table” approach to cuisine.

Their chefs keep reinventing food and dining and surprise you at every meal. Nice arrays of beverages are available too and the alcoholic drinks are reserved for adults only (minimum 21 years old in the USA).

The restaurants here include the “Marketplace” located in the center of the resort opposite the Saint Lucie River. This dining spot welcomes the whole family mornings, lunchtime and evenings, to discover a tasty selection of international dishes (Italian, Asian, Mexican, etc) that the staff also prepares daily. They also have a selection of meals suited to a low-fat diet and other dietary needs. Another healthy dining option is “Soleil.” Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. you can enjoy a la carte dining from the fresh juice menu, salads, wraps, light grill and full-bar service.

Nightly the executive chef serves a variety of specialty dishes inspired by local South Florida cuisine.

There are bars to enjoy all day and night (during bar opening hours) in the resort with the night club included.

The drink menu includes water, fruit juices, sodas, and hot drinks, cocktails with or without alcohol, local and/or international alcohol brands, beers and wines. Top shelf and some specialty liquors were not available.

Today the resort consists of 337 newly renovated rooms divided into seven 2-story buildings located on the banks of the St. Lucie River. Each building is equipped with an elevator and select rooms offer a view of the St. Lucie River.

The deluxe family room is the way to go whether traveling with children or as a couple.

These rooms create a welcoming yet tranquil ambiance to relax and enjoy. In a deluxe family room you will find a private room for parents, a separate bedroom for children and a large living space complete with a fully stocked mini-fridge.

Why not book an Allegiant Air fly-drive package into Orlando, load up the rental car and take the family to the beach.
