LAVALETTE, W.Va.– Donna June Hussell-Adkins of Lavalette, left this earthly existence on Jan. 18, 2011. She was the daughter of late Huntington police officer, John F. Hussell and Betty Lou Thompson-Hussell. She leaves behind, not only her mother, but three treasured children, Christopher M., Dallas L. and Sara L. Adkins, all of Huntington; two special sisters, Dorothy C. Perry and Mitzi G. Pittman; one brother, John F. Hussell II; and four beautiful grandchildren, Jacob M., Courtney M., Jayden A. and Isaiah M. Adkins. Also surviving Donna are her beloved American pit bull terriers Prue and Piper. She also left behind her wonderful Frank Kemble (also of Lavalette) who in the past several months brought her more happiness than she had known in a very long time.

She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Lodge #8850. She loved the ocean, playing Uno and birthday cake icing, but most of all she loved people and gave everything she had to care for them. Traditional services are being waived, as Donna was adamant about giving her body to help others as a body donor at the Human Gift Registry at Marshall University.

There will be a Celebration of Life party at Christ Temple Church, 2400 Johnstown Road, Huntington, W.Va. on Saturday, Jan. 29, between 4-6 p.m. for all those who loved her to come and share memories together.
