Rock Hill had 12 of its 17 turnovers in the first half and fell behind by 19 points before falling 60-43 to the Jackson Ironladies Monday in a non-league game.

“We just turned the ball over too many times and it hurt our offense. We had two good quarters and two bad quarters again. We can’t seem to put four quarters together,” said Rock Hill coach Alvin Carpenter.

Chelsea Harper led Rock Hill with 16 points and four steals. Dani Crabtree grabbed eight rebounds and Brittany Thompson had six.

Kari Jenkins led Jackson with a game-high 21 points. Heather Chapman scored 10 points including seven in the fourth quarter and Kerrigan Hoover added nine.

Jackson (15-4) used 10 points by Jenkins to jump out to a 22-14 lead. Harper had seven points to keep the Redwomen close.

But Jackson outscored Rock Hill 19-8 in the second quarter to take a 41-22 halftime lead.

Jenkins had eight more points in the third quarter to offset five points by Harper and Jackson’s lead grew to 53-31.

Rock Hill (5-13) plays at South Point on Wednesday and hosts Chesapeake on Thursday in a pair of Ohio Valley Conference games.
