GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Gloria J. Hobbs, 68 of Grand Rapids, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Mich.  She was born June 25, 1942, in Ironton, to Walden and Nellie (Butler) Gee.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Arthur (Harry) Hobbs, whom she married on July 17, 1961; son, Arthur H. (Mailan) Hobbs, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Denise Hobbs of Pontiac, Mich., Lisa Austin of Sterling Heights and Carol (Steve) Green of Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Betty Patrick of Elkhart, Ind. and Shirley Dalton of Ironton; and brothers, Grover Gee of Madison Heights, Mich.,    Ted Gee of Albuquerque, N.M. and Larry Gee of Ironton. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Thelma, brothers Bill, Anon and Bob.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. at Christ Apostolic Church, 501-503 North Superior St., Albion, Mich.
