Four file for November election

Already four potential officeholders have filed their petitions to run in the November general election, according to data from the Lawrence County Board of Elections.
As of Feb. 17, Don Mannon has filed for Lawrence Township Trustee and Douglas M. Malone for Perry Township Trustee.
Kenny Mannon also picked up a petition for Lawrence trustee, but has not filed. Neither has Brent McKee who picked up petitions for Perry trustee.
Also filing are Clark Collins seeking another term as Ironton Municipal Court judge and Donald R. Capper, incumbent for Lawrence County Municipal Court Judge.
Incumbent Chesapeake Mayor Dick Gilpin has picked up a petition for a second term at leading the village. Also Dennis Hankins has picked up a petition to run for Rock Hill Board of Education; and Jason Gorby for Fairland school board.
Candidates have until Aug. 10 to file.
