CROWN CITY — Ernest F. Stumbo Jr., 49, of Crown City, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington. Born July 18, 1961 in Columbus, he was the son of the late Ernest F. Stumbo Sr. and Edith Green Stumbo who survives.

In addition to his father, he is preceded by a son, R. Dylan Stumbo.

Ernest worked as a machinist with CSX Transportation. He was a United States Army veteran, a member of Crown City Masonic Lodge # 536 and at one time he was the Indiana State Motorcycle Ice Racing Champion.

Ernest is survived by his mother, Edith Green Stumbo of Crown City; wife, Vikki P. Rake Stumbo of Crown City; daughter, Tiffany Hurst of Crown City; and a sister, Lori Adkins of Antioch, Calif.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home 810 Second Ave. Gallipolis with Pastor Garland Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home by Crown City Lodge #536.

Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail.
