PEDRO — Roger Nelson, 54, of Pedro, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011, in Pedro.  The Lawrence County native was born Oct. 21, 1956, the son of the late Clifford Nelson and Eva Joe Hunt Nelson.  Roger was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and had lived all his life in Lawrence County.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Nelson. He is survived by two sisters, Wanda Simmons of Connersville, W.Va., and  Rita Nelson of Chesapeake; and three brothers, Paul Nelson of Pedro and Michael Nelson and Daniel Nelson, both of Waverly.
