Larry D. Hall, 61, of Ironton, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Floyd County, Ky., native was born March 22, 1950, the son of the late James F. and Ruby Caudill Hall. He is survived by his wife, Kay Leith Hall, whom he married Nov.15, 1997.

Mr. Hall was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a former ironworker for Local #769 and a member of the Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Lawrence County and the Greenup County bass clubs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Simon Gabriel Hall; and a granddaughter, Arminda Hall.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Andrea and Randy Rowe of Mt. Sterling, Danielle and Shelton Stowers of Kenova, W.Va., and Samantha Hall of Ironton; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Shannon Hall of Ironton, Simon Kenton Hall of Batavia and Larry D. Hall Jr. of Ironton; four sisters, Fay and Bob McCollister of Ironton, Kathy and Steven Payne of South Point, Susan and Phil Robinson of Ironton, and Edith and Delmer Kerns of Ironton; four brothers: James Jr. and JoLinda Hall of Ironton, Kenneth Hall of Peekin, Ill., Randall and Tammy Hall of Hudson, Fla. and Timothy and Sonja Hall of South Webster; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery with military graveside rites by the VFW Post 8850. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
