Justine Carol Bare, 45, of Ironton, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born June 4, 1965, the daughter of the late Betty Lou Bare Cooper.

Justine was a graduate of Ironton High School and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Earma Bare.

She is survived by two sons: Shannon Bare and Corey Bare both of Ironton; two brothers: Rick and Kim Bare of Ironton and Eddie and Sarah Cooper of Gaffney, S.C.; a sister, Lana Freeman of Ironton; a grandson, Kayden Matthew Madden of Ironton; Erin Elizabeth Wetzel of Ironton who was like a daughter to Justine; Keith Marshall Wetzel II of Ironton who was like a son to Justine; special friends, Michael Allen Vickers of Ironton and Melody Chatfield of Ironton; special cousin: Mary Lynn Wetzel of Ironton; nephews: Justin McKee and David McKee both of Ironton and several other nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at a later date at the convenience of the family. Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, is in charge of the arrangements.
