New business offering unique custom services
Look at the back window of almost any vehicle on the road and you’ll see some sort of decal.
It might be a school mascot, a university alma mater, favorite sports teams or stick people that represent each member of the family.
Now, you won’t have to go far to find exactly what you want.
“I call them car tattoos,” said Brandon Kellogg.
Kellogg is the manager of Hyper Toyz Car Graphics and Signs in Ironton. The shop opened up two weeks ago, and is owned by Premiere Auto, at 3724 South Third St.
Aside from “car tattoo” decals, Kellogg said Hyper Toyz does just about every kind of vinyl decals and signs you could think of: classic car decals, window lettering for businesses, car magnets, yard signs for various occasions and custom license plates.
“I can scan (the design) into the computer and go from there,” he said. “If I can’t make it, I can usually order it.”
Kellogg, who has worked with graphics and signs for six years, has already had some big orders to fill since the shop opened up. Most recently, custom stripes for a 32-foot boat and designs for some teams playing in the Gus Macker tournament.
Kellogg also said the graphics department and Premiere Auto as a whole is hoping to expand to offer even more services.
“We’re trying to make it an all in one car shop,” he said, “with hopefully car stereo stuff coming in and window tinting.”
Currently Premiere Auto offers auto detailing, washing and waxing, small repairs and used cars for sale. Kellogg said he is in the process of getting certification for window tinting.
Kellogg is hoping that people will choose Hyper Toyz because of its small business feel.
“I think I would be able to work with you when a bigger company wouldn’t be able to,” he said. “This is a local sign shop, not a big business. I understand how hard it is to start a small business… It’s the quality that will keep people coming back.”
Hyper Toyz is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week. For questions about graphic and signs, call (740) 646-9116.
