PEDRO — A 14-year-old boy was injured on Memorial Day at Lake Vesuvius, according to Ironton ranger Tim Slone.
“One of my employees was there and a young boy fell off the rocks,” Slone said. “We don’t know if he slipped or jumped.”
The boy was conscious after the fall, but was in pain from a back injury, Slone said.
Tom Eaches, recreation supervisor, responded to the event. The boy was taken by helicopter to Cabell Huntington Hospital. No other information was available at presstime.
