physicals set July 13

St. Joseph High School and Junior High athletic physicals will be given from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the school.

Physicals are free and this is the only time they will be offered.

Forms are available in the high school principal’s office. Please complete necessary information prior to the physicals.

All students much have an athletic physical in order to participate in any extra-curricular activity during the 2011-12 school year.

Ironton youth soccer

registrations planned

The Ironton Area Youth Soccer Association will conduct registrations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, July 9 and 16, at Bob Linn Sporting Goods.

The league is for ages 4 to 14 with birthdays between Aug. 1, 1997 to July 31, 2007.

Fee is $20 per youth and $15 for each additional sibling. There will be a $5 late fee assessed per player after July 23.

Fairland youth football

camp set for July 19-21

The Fairland football and speed development camp will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 19-21 at Jim Mayo Stadium for youths entering grades 2-8.

First OLBH/Flyer 5K Run

planned for Aug. 7

The Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital/Ironton Catholic Schools Flyer 5K Run will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, starting at St. Joseph High School.

Fee is $15 before Aug. 7 and $20 after Aug. 7. Race day registration will be from 7-to-7:45 a.m.

The flat course will run through the city streets. There are 15 different age groups. A spray station will be available at Fourth and Jefferson streets. Water is provided at the halfway point.

Each runner receives a T-shirt. There will be food and prizes at the conclusion of the race.
