Arlena Bailey

ORLANDO, Fla. — Arlena L. Bailey, 89, of Orlando, formerly Ironton, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011.

She was born June 5, 1922, the daughter of the late Nellie and Elisha Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John O. Bailey, whom she married May 1947.

Arlena was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was also a member of First Methodist Church of Ironton and a member of The Eastern Star. She graduated from Ironton City College and later worked as secretary to Judge Roy Henry for several years. After the death of her husband, John Bailey, she worked 10 years at Colonial Mortgage and Investment Company in Orlando. She loved dancing where she met her second husband, Albert Crouch, whom she married June 1985.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was also preceded in death by her second husband Albert F. Crouch; two half sisters, Lillian Holt and Ruby Toney and one half brother, Arthur Bailey.

She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Loren E. and Joan Bailey of Orlando; and John William Bailey also of Florida. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Jim Cremeans officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. – noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
