PROCTORVILLE — C. Calvin Scott, 88, of Proctorville, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va., after a brief illness.

He was born Dec. 22, 1922, in Huntington, W.Va., son of the late Latt and Daisy Lee Scott.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Scott and Joe Scott.

He is survived by his wife of 65 1/2 years, Lona LouVerne Scott; children, Claudia (Tom) Frazee, Allen (Mimi) Scott, Jeff (Becky) Scott and Tim (Sharon) Scott; grandchildren Sean (Sue) Frazee, Scott (Jamie) Frazee, Leah Frazee, Sara (Tom) Richardson, Jeremy and Josh Scott; step grandchildren, Scott (Heather) Hall, Kaitlyn Johnson; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Scott, Shannon and Ryan Frazee, Kiersten, Kylie and Declan Frazee; step great grandchild, Ellah Hall; brothers, Jack, Richard, Wayne, Robert, Gary, Harry and Ross Scott; sisters, Phyllis Vipperman, Joyce Scott, Louise Wilson and Karen Webb. Mr. Scott was a member of First Baptist Church, Proctorville. He was also a member of the NRA and was an avid gardener. He was the retired owner of General Sales and Supply in South Point. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Jeff Black. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville.
