Dane Deer 51, of Ironton, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011. He was born March 22,1960, the son of the late Fred Jr. and Hazel Duty Deer. He attended Ironton City Schools and was a carpenter for 33 years.

He was preceded by one brother, Craig Deer.

Survivors include four children, Dana Nichole, Maryann and Eddie of Port Clinton, Emily Deer of Orange Park, Fla. and seven grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Sharon Deer and Pat and Patti Deer, of Ironton, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawn and Greg Rister of Ironton, and Maryann and Dan Massie of Franklin Furnace.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday July 18 at Pine Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Pemberton officiating. Visitation will be from 10-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
