Mary Ann Laber

Mary Ann Armstrong Laber died on Wednesday July 20, 2011, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky., after an extended illness.

She was born Aug.23, 1933 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Earl F. Rosella (Hiermer) Armstrong.

She was a member of the Saint Paul Lutheran Church of Ironton, serving as financial secretary, a member of Ruth Circle, and a graduate of Ironton High School. She retired from Kelly’s Home Health.

She was the widow of John P. Laber. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Armstrong; one sister, Lydia Armstrong; one daughter, Pamela Laber Kirk; one grandson, Timothy Edward Kirk and one great-grandson, Ethan Layne Laber.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Beth (Howe) Laber, Tom and Vicki (Dearfield) Laber, and Scott Laber, all of Ironton, and Mark and Lorilee (Huffnagle) Laber of Dublin; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Ann (Kidwell) Armstrong; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Armstrong) and Mike Corn of Ironton, one sister-in-law, Patty (Justice) Armstrong of Russell, Ky.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. David Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sean Laber, Noah Kirk, Anthony Laber, Jeremy Shore, Tony Fife, Tim Clark. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice 1538 Central Ave, Ashland, Ky. 41101.
