FRANKLIN FURNACE — Maryline Pearl Swann, 70, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. The Willow Wood native was born Oct. 28, 1940, the daughter of the late Clifton and Juanita Wilson Murnahan. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Cecil Swann of Franklin Furnace.

Mrs. Swann was a homemaker and a member of a Pentecostal church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Faye Mollett; a granddaughter, Christina Jean Mollett; a son-in-law, Edward Douglas Mollett; a stepgrandson, Danny Ray Mollett Jr.; and a sister, Marcella Gertrude Waugh.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lela and Dannie Stapleton, of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Marcella and Edgar Noe, of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Danny Mollett of Franklin Furnace; two sisters, Sellstine Shepherd, of Lecta and Genevieve Abrams, of Ironton; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Betty Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Wilgus Fairview Cemetery and visitation will be Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
