SOUTH POINT — Woodrow Frederick Foster, Sr., 66, of South Point, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at home. He was born Feb. 24, 1945, in Huntington, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Lana June Foster; children, Woodrow Foster, Jr. and Melinda Foster Watson; grandchildren, Tegen Vickers, Lakkin Foster, Grant Foster and Garrett Foster; great-grandchild, Bryson, son of Lakkin Foster; sisters, Brenda and Mary Ellen; brother Jimmy; and seven half brothers and sisters. He retired from ACF Industries and was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville by Pastor Cleo Watson. Burial will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va. Proctorville V.F.W.
