Ironton High School will conduct a meeting at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, for coaches, athletes and parents of athletes before each sporting season as mandated by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.

The fall meeting will be held in the high school auditorium. Parents are not required at the meeting but are highly encouraged to attend to become familiar with issues that include student eligibility requirements, code of conduct, sportsmanship, steroids and concussions.

The meeting is a requirement for coaches and athletes.

Following the OHSAA meeting, the annual “Meet the Tigers” festivities will be held at 2:15 p.m. on the front lawn of the high school. There will also be an open house for all students from 1-3 p.m.

Also, the fall sports media day will be held on Wednesday. Individual and team photos will be taken for parents to purchase.

Middle school pictures will be taken at a later date.

Athletes may obtain order forms from their coach. Forms must be completed with proper payment the day of pictures.
