FRANKLIN FURNACE — Robert C. Zornes, 75, of Franklin Furnace, died Aug. 5, 2011. He was born Jan. 18, 1936, in Hanging Rock. He attended Rock Hill Schools and was employed by Wilson’s, Dayton Malleable and Tipton’s. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Zornes, on Sept. 1, 2005, and his parents, Orville and Edith Zornes.

He is survived by his six children, Rocky Zornes and Steve Zornes, both of Franklin Furnace, Lisa Brown, Shannon Zornes and Erin Baldridge, all of Wheelersburg, and Keith Zornes of Coal Grove; 12 grandchildren, Jordann, Cameron, Tyler, Cassidy Zachary, Dakotah, Chase, Jenna, Brigham, Lillian, Hope and Kaylyn; three brothers, Herman (Pat) Zornes of Ironton, Ray (Nancy) Zornes of Kitts Hill and Doug (Rosemary) Zornes of South Point; two sisters, Deloris (Paul) Queen of Flatwoods, Ky. and Judy (Perry) Holliday of Coal Grove; and a special friend, Lois Gallagher of Franklin Furnace.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Pyles Funeral Home; per his wishes and there will be no public service. Private services will be at the convenience of the family.
