ASHLAND, Ky. — The Daniel Boone Fraternal Order of Eagles #2329 will host a Kids Day Event Sunday, Aug. 28, from noon-6 p.m. at the Daniel Boone Aerie, located at 701 Carter Ave.

The event is open to all area children free of charge and will feature inflatable attractions, food and games. Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital will offer health screenings to adults and children.

The Huntington Hammer of the Ultimate Indoor Football League will be on hand to give away family packs and promote their new kids club.

Members of the Girl Scouts of America will be recruiting during the event while the local Police, Firefighter and EMT departments will attend to educate children on safety issues and give away prizes.

The Eagles’ goal is to get kids outside and active and teach them about various activities they can do to stay away from computers and video game consoles during the day.

The Daniel Boone Eagles has maintained a presence in the Ashland community since 1938 and currently hosts more than 900 Aerie and 400 Auxiliary members.
