Nathan Reid

LANCASTER — Nathan Jeremy Reid, 35, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, as a result of an auto accident.

He was born Aug. 7, 1976 in Charlottesville, Va., son of William F. and Margaret Bachman Reid of Willow Wood. Nathan was married to Wanda F. Guthrie Reid, who survives.

Nathan was a project manager at UTI in Groveport, a member of Rehoboth Mennonite Church in Schuyler, Va., and attended Shalom United Methodist Church in Carroll. He was active in 4-H, was an Eagle Scout and a member of Order of The Arrow. Nathan loved running, was a member of the Celebration Singers and loved his dogs, Barron and Rowdy.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his sons, David L. and Steven L. Thomas and Lance R. Campbell; a daughter, Brittany A. Campbell; grandchildren, Cierra and Madalyn Lovegrove and Alexandra Thomas and aunts and uncles, Barbara (Sewell) Gelberd, Susan (Brian) McDonnell and Stephen (Ellen) Bachman.

Nathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Victoria Reid and Roy and Maybelle Bachman.

Nathan’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Shalom United Methodist Church, 4925 Plum Rd., Carroll, with the Rev. Craig Arnold and the Rev. Barbara Salyers officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
