Theft — Lawrence County Early Childhood Center, County Road 1, South Point, estimated $9,000 in copper taken from air conditioning unit.

Burglary — 1100 block County Road 19 Aug. 20, residence entered, jewelry, DVD player, Blu Ray player, laptop taken.

Theft — 2600 block County Road 55, Ironton Aug. 21, drills taken from outbuilding.

Aggravated menacing — Country Hearth Inn, South Point Tuesday, man reportedly menacing people, brandishing knife, Charles R. Pennington, 46, of 70 Private Drive 302, South Point, arrested and taken to jail.

Domestic — Perry Township Monday, woman reportedly hit in face several times, deputy noted this was his second call to that residence and that couple in two weeks, woman given information about domestic violence shelter, suspect named.

Breaking and entering — 1100 block County Road 1, South Point, Tuesday, items taken.

Theft — 800 block Township Road 278, Chesapeake Monday, backhoe bucket and single head turn plow taken.

Receiving stolen property — 7400 block County Road 107, Proctorville Monday, Rome Township Volunteer Fire Department called for smoke and open burning investigation, people reportedly burning coating off copper cables, tools at camper site found to be stolen from Huntington, W.Va., suspects claim they found the copper next to an abandoned house, Christopher Collins, 26, of Ona, W.Va., Michael D. Graybeal, 23, Huntington, W.Va., and Brian Hatcher, 22, Hurricane, W.Va., all arrested and taken to jail.

Assault – 2500 block of South Third Street, 12:10 a.m. Thursday, patron reportedly assaulted server.

Unwanted person – 1500 block of North Second Street, 11 a.m. Thursday, man wants woman removed from house. Information for report, child services to be notified.

Divert traffic – Ironton-Russell Bridge closed due to injury accident.

Theft – 5:50 p.m. Thursday, woman reports theft.

Trouble – 900 block of North Fifth Street, 7:04 p.m. Thursday, juvenile reportedly trying to hit another with skateboard.

Loud music – 1400 block of Pine Street, 10:32 p.m. Thursday, woman reports loud music. No such address, checked rest of Pine Street, negative contact.

Trouble – 500 block of Cliff Street, 10:58 p.m. Thursday, fight reported at Cliff Street apartments.

Suspicious people – 600 block of North Fifth Street, 11:26 p.m. Thursday, men reportedly on porch, knocking at door. Negative contact.

Need to file charges – 700 block of South Ninth Street, 11:48 p.m. Thursday, woman reports two unruly children. Advised.

Trouble – Cliff Street apartments, 12:33 a.m. Friday, people reportedly won’t let man out of car, and are threatening him.

Theft – 1000 block of North Fifth Street, 9:08 p.m. Friday, bikes reportedly taken.

Vandalism – Taco Bell parking lot, 11:12 a.m. Friday, two girls reportedly writing on employees’ cars. Transferred to sheriff’s office, it is the Burlington store.

Be on the look out – 11:27 a.m. Friday, be on the lookout for possible drugs in vehicle from Kitts Hill.

Vandalism – 1200 block of South Eighth Street, 12:49 p.m. Friday, woman reports window was shot.

Stolen vehicle – 700 block of Buckhorn Street, 12:53 p.m. Friday, woman reports car missing from driveway.

Theft – 400 block of Vesuvius Street, 3:40 p.m. Friday, DVD player, other items reportedly taken from vehicle.

Unruly juvenile – 700 block of North Second Street, 11:31 p.m. Friday, woman reports argument with daughter. Negative charges, subject left prior to arrival.
