PROCTORVILLE — This year’s commemoration of the Sept. 11 tragedy will have a patriotic theme as WesBanco in Proctorville hosts its third annual event.
“We are doing a “Rev, White and Blue Cruise-in,” Devinh Gibson, of the Proctorville branch, said. “We had a cruise-in previously and did really, really well. We mentioned it to the community as far as would it take away from some of the serious of the event and no, they loved it.”
The family-oriented day will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the parking lot of the bank.
“Because the bank will be closed, we will have more space,” she said.
Those entering the cruise-in should be at the bank by 12:30 p.m.
“We will have someone to park the cars,” Gibson said.
There will be no entry fee charged for the cruise-in where cars will be on display until 4 p.m.
There will also be service vehicle on display such as police and fire trucks and an emergency vehicle.
Chillers’s will provide the free meal of hot dogs and there will be a variety of door prizes given out. There will also be a variety of children’s activities including McGruff the crime dog. “We want more family involvement,” Gibson said.
