MT. JULIET, Tenn. — Dwayne L. Payne, 50, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joetta Ward Payne; children, Cory and Macy Payne of Mt. Juliet and Michelle Payne of Proctorville; his parents, Ronald “Ron” and Betty Payne; a sister, Denise (John) Cole; a sister-in-law, Vicki (Michael) Rosenberg; brothers-in-law, Glen and Steve Ward, all of Proctorville, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. There was never a more caring and loving husband, father, son and friend than Dwayne. He will be in our hearts forever.

A very special thank you to everyone who in any way during Dwayne’s illness and passing, including everyone at Alive Hospice. It was such a privilege and honor to have known Dwayne. He will be loved forever and always.

Visitation was 6 p.m. Thursday followed by a celebration service at Cloyd’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Mt. Juliet with Bro. Mike Reece officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Cremation and Funeral Services of Nashville.
