The Flyers returned to the winning side with a 3-1 soccer game win over the Lincoln County Panthers on Thursday.

“The defense played a very good game,” said Flyers’ coach Dan Blair. “Justin Mahlmeister turned in another excellent performance in the goal and the forwards and midfielder play was sound.”

Eli Lewis scored two goals to pace the Flyers while Nick Roach scored the other goal.

Ike Palmer and Joseph Payton each had an assist for the Flyers.

St. Joseph (6-2-1) plays a 6 p.m. game at Elliott County, Ky., on Monday and hosts Chesapeake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
