Naomi Joseph
Naomi Ruth Joseph, 84, of Ironton, formerly of Pedro, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at a local health care center in Ironton. The Boyd County, Ky., native was born Feb. 28, 1927, the daughter of the late Harry and Ruby Faye Thomas Perkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph, who died Jan. 10, 2006.
Mrs. Joseph attended Waterloo School, was a homemaker and attended Royersville Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ida Faye Perkins; and a brother, Samuel B. Perkins.
She is survived by son, Leonard Richard Joseph of Ashland, Ky.; three stepsons, John Joseph and his wife, Joan of Jackson, stepson, Lawrence Joseph of Wellston and stepson, James Joseph and his wife Elaine of Coal Grove; three stepdaughters, Lillian Robinson and her husband, John of Kitts Hill and stepdaughters, Linda Hall and her husband Robert and Kathy Bentley, both of Pedro; a sister, Annabelle Conner of Ironton; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Maddy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery and visitation will be today from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Beverly Willis
FLATWOODS, Ky. — Beverly Faye Willis, 67, of Flatwoods, died Thursday, Sept. 22 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
She was born on July 28, 1944 in Ashland, Ky. to the late Ferris and Angie Litteral- Pennington.
A memorial service will be held at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods on Saturday at 2 p.m. officiated by Jim Smedley and Don Young. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Larry Coyer
SOUTH POINT — Larry G. Coyer, 70 of South Point, son of the late Clyde and Lucille Coyer, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Pastor Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte, and was a member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by Geraldine, Bernard and Mammie Smith of South Point, with whom he had made his home for 28 years. Other survivors are Pam and Tom Runyon of South Point, David and Elaine Mayenschein of Canton and nephews, Shawn and Tim Runyon. Frances Ison
WESTWOOD, Ky. —Frances Evelyn Hall Ison, 78, of Westwood, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at her residence. She was the wife of Amos Ison, who survives. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Preston Family Funeral Home with Brother Tim Porter and Brother Steve Fraley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
