Armed man robs Family Dollar
An armed robber got away with an undetermined amount of cash from the Family Dollar Store in Ironton Friday night.
According to Ironton Police Detective Capt. Chris Bowman, officers responded to a call from the store at 9:13 p.m.
Employees described the suspect as a white male, armed with a knife, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, face mask and blue jeans.
“(The suspect) entered the store and demanded money from the cashier,” Bowman stated in a release. “The cashier complied and the suspect fled on foot.”
No employees were injured in the robbery.
