Katie Peterman Carman, 42, of Ironton, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.

The Ashland, Ky., native was born Oct. 22, 1968, the daughter of Charles D. Peterman of Wurtland, Ky., and the late Sandra Hearne Peterman. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Carman, whom she married May 9, 1986.

She was a 1986 graduate of Boyd County High School and a former warehouse associate at the Toyota Plant in Hebron, Ky. She was a member of the Coastal Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Fla.

In addition to her father and husband, she is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Joseph Mullins of Bethel; a son, Joseph Carman at home; a daughter, Mackenzie D. Carman at home; a son, Kenneth Carman Jr. at home; one granddaughter and a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Rick Tackett of Westwood, Ky.
