South Point posts soccer win over Lincoln County

SOUTH POINT — When the South Point Pointers fell behind, they didn’t fall apart.
Instead, the Pointers rallied for a 3-1 win over the Lincoln County Panthers in a soccer game on Wednesday.
Seth Colegrove scored nine minutes into the game to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
But Michael Lien scored off an assist from Mario Palladino nine minutes later as the Pointers tied the game.
Elaine Gore had an unassisted goal at the 22-minute mark that put South Point up 2-1 at the half.
Lien scored his second goal of the game at the 76-minute mark — Brady Sloan had the assists — to seal the win for the Pointers.
Brady Rickard recorded nine saves for the Pointers.
South Point (7-4-3) visits Ironton St. Joseph at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
