HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall Athletics and IMG, America’s home for college sports, announced that Saturday’s 7 p.m. Marshall-UCF football game in Orlando, Fla., will be carried locally by WSAZ-TV.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to, once again, partner with WSAZ to bring Marshall Football back to the Tri-state area on Saturday,” said Jason Golden, General Manager Marshall Thundering Herd Sports Marketing.
“This broadcast gives Herd fans another chance to see Marshall play a big Conference USA game against a marquee opponent, which is a win-win for everyone involved.”
The game, which was originally set for 4 p.m. ET before being moved into the evening to accommodate Bright House Sports Network’s (BHSN) production, will pit the 2-3 (1-0 C-USA) Thundering Herd against the Knights, who are 2-2 and have yet to play a league contest.
Marshall knocked off Big East foe Louisville 17-13 last week on the strength of two Rakeem Cato touchdown passes and a stout defensive effort, led by linebacker Tyson Gale.
Gale was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Week after amassing a team-high seven tackles and an interception that helped set up the Herd’s game-winning score.
