Fairland (3-6, 2-2) at Fairland (3-6, 2-2)

This is a battle for third place in the OVC.

Fairland relies on its running game. Nathan Campbell has 58 carries for 493 yards, Tyree Ceasar 83 for 452 yards, Eric Riley 76 for 447 and Evan Maddox has 57 for 433.

Quarterback Kyle Sowards is 26 of 49 for 429 yards but 11 interceptions.

Finally healthy, the Redmen have balance. Quarterback Will McCollister is 34 of 57 for 542 yards and five TDs with nine picks. He has 45 carries for 325 yards and six scores.

Jared Bruce has 498 yards rushing on 74 carries and Trey Wilds has 30 catches for 377 yards and three TDs.

River Valley (1-8, 0-4) at South Point (1-8, 0-4)

This is the ultimate pride game. The loser ends up in the OVC cellar.

The Pointers have been racked by injuries. They have played the past few weeks without leading rusher Tre’ Campbell and that has forced quarterback Austin Majher to shift to fullback and freshman Gage Townsend to take over at the quarterback spot.

The Raiders played without quarterback Austin Whobrey last week due to an illness and they were forced to move leading receiver Trey Noble to the vacated spot.

The Pointers defense will have to stop Raiders’ running back Patrick Williams in order to win.

Symmes Valley (8-1) at South Gallia (7-2)

There are no league implications on the line for either team, but their spot in the postseason playoffs will be determined.

Symmes Valley can wrap up first place in the Region 23 Division VI ratings. The Rebels can use the points to vault up to a home game.

South Gallia is led by Austin Phillips who ran just nine times for 108 yards and a touchdown in a 27-7 win over Waterford last week. Quarterback Cory Haney threw for 64 yards and a score and ran for 24 more yards. Danny Matney and Josh Cooper are the top receivers.
