Flora Marie Klaiber

Flora Marie Klaiber, 63, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2011.

The Ironton native was born Feb. 16, 1948, the daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie Barnett Butler.

Ms. Klaiber was a graduate of Ironton High School, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Earnestine Cronin and Bessie Butler.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Amy Klaiber of McDermott; three brothers, Gene Butler of Deering, Walter Butler of Ironton, and Nathan Butler of Florida; a sister, Junie Thompson of Ironton; and a granddaughter, Bella Michelle Klaiber of Ironton.

Funeral services with be 1 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenny Klaiber officiating. Burial will follow in Haverhill Cemetery. Frank James

Garry Franklin “Frank” James, 54, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Ironton native was born Nov. 22, 1956, the son of the late Jesse Lee and Rosemary Fox James. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debbie Nicely James, whom he married Oct. 30, 1982.

Frank was a 1975 graduate of Rock Hill High School and attended Ohio University. He was self employed and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Beckel.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Amber James and her fiance, Will Stapleton, of Ironton; a stepson, Timothy Nicely and his wife Lisa of Pedro; three sisters, Sharon Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Pam Carlos and Norma Joann James, both of Ironton; a brother, Charles Hutton, of Willow Wood; and three granddaughters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery with Brother Jack Pemberton officiating and visitation will be Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. John R. Gore

A funeral service for John R. Gore, 77, of Newark will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, with Pastor Jeff Smith, Pastor Ben Fitzsimmons and Pastor Clifford Gore officiating.

Mr. Gore passed away on Oct. 25, 2011. He was born on Dec. 3, 1933, to the late Willard and Dove (Justice) Gore in Kitts Hill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Eva M. (Jenkins) Gore; sons, Gregg Gore and Brett (Sharon) Gore; daughters, Veronica (Paul) Link and Valerie Cannon; grandchildren, Trinda Denty, Travis Gore, Jeremy Cannon, Zach Cannon, Drew Link, Tylor Gore, Tiera Gore and Aaron Link; great-grandchildren, Brandt Linn, Madison Linn and Hoyt Gore; siblings, Ione Malone, Clifford Gore, Emma Jean Scott and Betty Jo Spurlock; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Junior, Bob and James Gore; and sister, Frances Boyce.

John retired from the CSX Railroad after 43 years. He was an avid bowler and very dedicated to his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home.

Shane Eric Weaver

POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — Shane Eric Weaver, 33, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Weaver. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Arrangements were made by Hall Funeral Home.

Billy J. Fairchild

CHESAPEAKE — Billy J. Fairchild, 88, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Jean Fairchild. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by Hall Funeral Home.
