The Dragons three-headed beast is the running back trio of Tyree Ceasar, Eric Riley and Nathan Campbell who all ran for 100 yards in a 40-6 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Rock Hill Redmen on Friday.

“We played well and we didn’t have any turnovers which was outstanding in the field conditions,” Fairland coach Dave Carroll said of the rain and mud. “Our backs all ran well and they compliment each other. It was a good team effort.”

Ceasar ran 18 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns to lead the trio. Riley had 107 yards on 13 attempts and scored three times while Campbell had 100 yards on just five carries and a touchdown.

Fairland (4-6, 3-2) finished with 412 total yards — all on the ground.

Rock Hill (3-7, 2-3) had 268 total yards with all but 20 coming on the ground. Shane Harper ran 24 times for 151 yards and quarterback Will McCollister ran 19 times for 59 yards and hit 2 of 5 passes for 20 yards, both to Trey Wilds.

Fairland went 75 yards in seven plays to score with seven minutes left in the first quarter. Riley ran 22 yards for the score and Ceasar added the conversion to make it 8-0.

Ceasar’s 20-yard TD run five minutes later capped a 55-yard, seven-play drive and it was 14-0.

Campbell put the lead at 22-0 just before the end of the half when he went 53 yards for a touchdown on the first play following a punt. Ceasar ran for the conversion.

The Dragons drove 52 yards in six plays capped by Riley’s 5-yard run at the 7:30 mark of the third quarter and it was 28-0.

Fairland went on a 70-yard, four-play drive that ended on Ceasar’s 26-yard run and made it 34-0 with 1:20 left in the quarter.

Michael Lange recovered a fumble at the Rock Hill 25 to set up a 5-yard scoring run by Riley with 4:44 left and the lead was 40-0.

Rock Hill scored with 1:18 left on a 15-yard run by Jonah Cox.
