AID TOWNSHIP — Chalk up another honor for the Symmes Valley School District.

Becky Bowling, a sixth grade math and math lab instructor at Symmes Valley Middle School was awarded the outstanding Elementary Math Teacher Award from the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (OCTM) for 2011.

The recognition was given at the annual awards ceremony in Toledo. The OCTM recognizes eight exemplary elementary math teachers from across the state each year. Bowling has been teaching students in the field of mathematics at Symmes Valley for 29 years.
