Ironton police

Suspicious people — South Fourth and Clinton streets, 1 a.m. Sunday, four men in the alley going through people’s yards, three located.

Suspicious man — South Seventh and Quincy streets, 1:36 a.m. Sunday, two or three men in a van circling the area, unable to locate.

Breaking and entering — Pizza Hut, Ironton Hills Shopping Center, 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

Vandalism — 1000 block South Fifth Street, 8:45 a.m. Sunday, house egged.

Panhandling — Speedway, Eighth Street and Park Avenue, 4:32 p.m. Sunday, man and woman asking for money, unable to locate.

Prowlers — 900 block Adams Street, 5:45 p.m. Sunday, request made for extra patrols.

Domestic — 800 block Heplar Street, 6:49 p.m. Sunday, man with Alzheimers disease assaulting wife, taken to hospital.

County jail

— Rebecca Adkins, 31, 2028 County Road 31, Chesapeake, domestic violence Sunday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Clifford L. Bumbalough, 35, 2555 S. Eighth St., Ironton, intoxicated pedestrian on highway Sunday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

Assault — Elizabeth Township Sunday, woman reportedly assaulted, suspect named, denied accusation, advised, deputy called second time, Beth Bailey, 27, 8142 State Route 522, Pedro and Christopher L. Shope, 27, of 2299 County Road 27, Pedro, both arrested and taken to jail.

Domestic — Perry Township Sunday, man reportedly pushed way into residence uninvited, violating restraining order, located later at another residence, Jay K. Rickard, 49, 3346 County Road 18, South Point, arrested and taken to jail.

Domestic — Union Township Sunday, man reportedly menaced, suspect named.
