I am appalled that the newspapers are printing election information handed down from John Husted, Ohio Secretary of State, that is biased and in some cases just not true.

A good example is “Issue 2 asks government employees to make a fair contribution (10 percent) to their taxpayer funded retirement plans instead of requiring taxpayers to provide these pension benefits for free.”

I have paid a large sum into State Teachers’ Retirement every two weeks for well over 30 years. I am now retired but work part-time tutoring at Ironton Elementary and still must pay 10 percent into STRS, though it won’t increase my retirement amount one bit.

The ads I’ve seen on TV in favor of the Issue 2 are just as misleading.

Shame on Mr. Husted for presenting false or misleading information as a fair and balanced summary of the issues!
