The store is located in part of the former K-Mart building plaza, off County Road 367 County Road 406, parallel to U.S. 52 and is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Through Sunday, shoppers will receive 10 percent off their first purchase, up to $100, and can enter to win prizes including store gift cards, pet feed, clothing, power tools, and a 22-ton log splitter. Free Tractor Supply Company baseball-style hats will also be given away while supplies last.

“Tractor Supply Company is a great location for South Point because its centrally located and in a large farming community,” said store manager Carl Radcliff. “We have a wide variety of products that fit the lifestyle of the community. I’m proud of our team’s effort to get the store ready. They’re excited and look forward to taking care of our neighbors,” said Radcliff.

Radcliff, who relocated from the Chillicothe, oversees all store operations including receiving, inventory control and merchandising as well as customer and team member relations.

“Carl grew up in Athens, Ohio, and his grandparents owned a small farm, so he is familiar with the Tractor Supply customer lifestyle,” said Mike Knoplesch, district manager. “He has done a tremendous job putting together a skilled team of employees, including some who own horses and farms and are also involved in local FFA organizations, said Knoplesch.

The South Point store is the company’s 73rd store in Ohio and employs 13 individuals at the more than 30,446 square foot facility. Tractor Supply is the nation’s largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain, with more than 1,000 stores, and has been operating in Ohio since 1948.

Tractor Supply Co. stores are focused on supplying the lifestyle needs of recreational farmers and ranchers.

They also serve the maintenance needs of those who enjoy the rural lifestyle, as well as tradesman and small businesses.

The company sells merchandise for the health, care, growth and containment of horses, livestock and pets including Purina and Nutrena brand feeds; a broad selection of agricultural products; and tools and hardware.
