The Ohio State Highway Patrol has reported that a portion of State Route 93 has closed due to high water. Sgt. Nick Lunsford said the road was closed about 10 miles north of Ironton, just north of the intersection of State Route 522.

Lunsford also said State Route 650 about a mile off of State Route 52 was also closed.

High water is also reported at various locations on state Route 141 between Waterloo and Wilgus, as well as on S.R. 775 between Proctorville and Scottown. Although both S.R. 141 and S.R. 775 remain open at this time, they may be subject to closure as creek and ditch waters rise, according to ODOT officials.

Lunsford said the patrol would continue to monitor the roadways until water subsided and notify ODOT when roads could reopen.
