Hope during the Holidays memorial service at Slack and Wallace

SOUTH POINT — Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point will have its first “Hope during the Holidays” memorial service on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.
The funeral home plans to make the service an annual tradition.
Families who have lost a loved one whose service was held at Slack and Wallace in the past year are invited to attend along with others in the community.
There will be a short ceremony as well as a slideshow of photos of deceased loved ones. Pastor Clyde Carter, of the Chesapeake Pentecostal Church will speak as will Jamie Armentrout, Hospice of Huntington’s bereavement coordinator. There will also be a candle lighting ceremony.
Family members will also receive a Merry Christmas from Heaven ornament bearing the name, birthday and death date of their loved ones.
